Cave Dog - Labrador Retriever is a blending of painting techniques and mixed media resulting in a stone impression with a primitively painted, yet contemporary depiction of a show quality black Labrador Retriever. The original acrylic is textural and rough with varying layers of cave hues to simulate actual stone walls. It is on a 9" x 12" masonite panel and uniquely framed in a custom made slab cherry frame with tree bark on 2 edges matching the combination of the rough yet high quality concept created in the painting. Dog art and paintings by Amy Reges are inspired by my own OtterTail Labrador Retrievers.
